Inserting block in model layout detail

Hi,

When inserting a block in model space, the scale of the block is 1. If I now switch (when inserting is still not finised) to detail in layout, it will stay at scale 1. If I start inserting the same block from the detail inside the layout, it will insert with scale 5, and if I switch back to the model, it will be inserted at scale 5. Then, if I start inserting from layout paper space, it will be inserted with scale 10, and this scale will stay active whether I switch to the detail of the model. How to maintain the scale of the block from model space (where it is created) the same in details and paper space.

I’m not seeing that here in a quick test.
Could you post a simple .3dm file that we can use to check this behavior?

Hi Igor -
When I start a document in meter and insert a block in an active detail on a layout in millimeter, I see that the block gets scaled by 1000.
I’ve put that on the list as RH-89470 Block: Scaling When Inserted in Detail

Is it perhaps something like that that you are running into?

RH-89470 is fixed in Rhino 8 Service Release 25
