Importing V4 ini file display mode doesnt recreate rendered settings

Hi,
V5
After needing to reinstall V5 on a replacement HD to fix boot issues, I am now making it match the appearance I had in V4. (did a backup restore to HD of progs etc but V5 wasnt in the backup)

Finding a thread on such I followed the conclusion of best methods.

V4 File>Properties>Appearance>advanced settings choose e.g. wireframe and click export, This will bring in the settings for ALL display modes not just wireframe. Name it and save it to a location of my choosing.

in V5 go Options>View>DisplayMode>Import and select that ini file.

open the model both in V4 and V5. both in rendered view in perspective window.

In V4 its without blue and magenta lines along the edges of the surfaces, just points showing.
In V5 it has blue and magenta lines showing along surface edges as well as points.

WHY THE DIFFERENCE IF ini FILE RECREATES THE DISPLAY SETTINGS ?

Show curves was ticked, untick it and they are gone, likewise points.

I also opted to jot down the rgb values of all the colours in V4 such as background, grid line major etc, and recreate these manually in V5 as there is no way to export these settings.

I sorted out by the way the blue scheme via windows colors, 3 to grey and 1 to grey recreates neutral V4 (just incase anyone wants to know !)…better for colour perception !
