Importing toolbar from rh8 to rh9

Hi

I have imported a custom toolbar from RH8 to RH9 , i made it by copying the RUI file for this customized toolbar from the RH8 folder to the the corresponding RH9 folder

C:\Users\User\AppData\Roaming\McNeel\Rhinoceros\9.0\UI

the toolbar showed up but i cannot edit it since the edit button is not active + if i preselect the object and click on some of the icon the macros does not feel the preselected object.

same toolbar works just fine in RH8, buttons are editable and preselected objects are processed when i click in some of the icons.

any suggestion on how to fix this wrong behavior in RH9 ?

thanks

Hi Cloudsvisitor77,

There are a lot of changes in this regard that @CallumSykes has been working on. If you are on the latest WIP try the OptionsMigrate command.

Can you edit via the toolbars command either?

HI @Japhy and thanks for your answer

I launched OptionMigrate command , i selected the Rhino version (8) to import options from but beside not solving above mentioned problem ( unable to edit the toolbar macros ) it also changed the software language to one i never used ( it’s always been English , it switched to Italian ).

Hi @CallumSykes , thanks for your suggestion , i dont know i got you right but i realized that if click RMB over the toolbar icons the editor opens and i can edit the macro/script , which is even faster that pressing edit.

so this is a useful workaround.

That’s a first. You can go to Add or Remove Programs>Rhino WIP>Modify and change the language.

I think this may be a different bug, possibly installer related
