I have installed the WIP on a laptop alongside Rhino 6 (required by a client). No 7 or 8 onboard. I have access to saved .rui and .ini files as well as other resources I use with those versions. 8 is my current workhorse and highly customized. My goal is to align 9 with 8 as appropriate.
Toolbars - I have turned off the default toolbars but when I try to open my v8 rui I get an error saying that “An RUI already exists with that id.” When I drag and drop it in it shows in the Window > Toolbars and Macros list with the proper file name. Comparing the 2 RUI files they are the same. None of my v8 toolbars are present in either Toolbars or Toolbar Groups. I would like to add the New in V9 to my RUI then close the default RUI. I would also like to display with one click all my bars as currently configured in v8. Is this possible?
Thanks Kyle. Since I am installing on a laptop vs desktop, screen size is different so I am really not trying to “clone” so much as get the toolbars fully present so they can be organized appropriate to the laptop. I see that I can step through the > T & M list and turn items on and off individually.
I don’t know if it makes a difference (memory load or whatever) but is it possibe to close the default toolbar once I have mine installed? I did succeed getting my options and default template going properly.
