Importing pdf into rhino8 for layouts

Hi I want to visualize a PDF I create from excel in Rhino (not as a picture but as lines and text).
I am using the file import option and on importing the text is not visible. i assume this is a text scaling issue? however when drag and select the whole are it appears like only the lines have been created. Any suggestions on how to use this work flow will be great

When I start a new Rhino document from a factory-default template in millimeter and import that PDF file, I see the following:

I used the “Preserve units” option with “1 mm in PDF = 1 Rhino unit”

Are you taking different steps? Also, please run the Rhino `SystemInfo´ command and copy-paste the result here.
