Importing .mat into V-Ray for Rhino?

I’m just wondering if there is a way to import .mat materials into V-Ray for Rhino.
A way to convert .mat into .vrmat?

.mat material files are 3ds max files, nothing but 3ds max supports them. You can export a .vrmat or .vrscene from 3dsmax once imported there
