Imported picture not updated/refreshed?

Hi,

An image imported into rhino does not seem to update after modification in third-party software. See video, file and System Info.

Apparently this issue has been raised in other conversations.
“Hi, I believe that I have a similar problem in R8. I add images as picture frames. When I modify the image used outside of rhino (ie, in photoshop), R8 does not show the updated image. It continues to show the original. When I ‘refresh all textures’ it does not show the updated image.”

In the video you can see that if you make a mask then the display refreshes, but that’s not necessarily the point. _RefreshAllTextures doesn’t seem to react. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is?

This is a bug: RH-81291 mac not updating picture regression
Apparently, that worked fine in Rhino 7 on macOS.

This has been a persistent problem for a while now. Similarly, standard Rhino materials using a texture map does not update after textures are changed or updated. The workaround requires a Rhino restart. I’ve seen this reported in other posts and is probably logged by McNeel staff.
