Bitmap texture not showing correctly after re-saving PNG JPG TIF

Hi all,
I am quite new to Rhino for mac. I used to work with 3DS Max on Windows and had to change for my new work.
I am using a MacBook Pro with a M2 Pro processor and Rhino 8 SR12 2024-10-8.
Excuse me if this is a noob question, but I cannot find an answer online.
I use Photoshop to manipulate images (textures, layout, floorplans, …) and import those to Rhino via Bitmap textures on Physical Base Materials.
When I first load the image, everything is fine, but when I make a change to the image and save over the existing image, the viewport will always display the initially loaded image.
I am assuming that the cache is not updating with the changed file. I tried _RefreshAllTextures, but that is not working.
The only workaround I have found that works is to turn Color Mask on and select a colour that is not in the image (usually bright green works.)
This problem occurs regardless of the image format JPG PNG TIF and regardless of the material that I am using the texture with.
Is there something I have missed? Is there a better way?
Thank you for your time in advance
Daniel

I logged that a couple of days ago: RH-84326 Editing texture doesn’t properly update preview and Rendered mode
