Import render conflict option missing

Hi,

where can I set the options for import (paste) conflicts like possible for materials?

After some search I found to use _RenderImportConflictOption. I hope this isn’t all. Every few months if an update/upgrade cause to repair all my settings I’m looking for this option. Auto complete by typing “conflict” doesn’t work. Should it not be on the Advanced Options or on an other option page? Please add it as an regular command/options.

You could try _ResetMessageBoxes

Thank you, only I’m not sure I want to reset all message options every time I miss the render import conflict dialog. I hope the programmer can add it in the standard way like other options.

But unfortunately also _ResetMessageBoxes doesn’t helps to bring back the conflict options which ask me for a render material conflict if I copy an object with V-Ray material from a Rhino 7 task to Rhino 8.

Does that happen with regular Rhino materials when copying between versions?

I did a test:

  • create an object with a new custom material and name it “A1” at Rhino 7
  • create an object with a new custom material and name it “A1” at Rhino 8
  • copy and paste the object from 7 to 8
  • no render conflict dialog and the imported material is renamed with [imported]

So, it doesn’t work.

I tested this after a _ResetMessageBoxes and here it does bring up the dialog:

Strange, I installed the latest update (but skipped the system restart) and it doesn’t work here. I will try it later again after a complete restart.

Also after a restart of the system it doesn’t work.
