Apologies if this creeps out of Rhino scope. I am appealing for help on the general topic of using Rhino to import and scale.
I have learned how to use an ArcGIS extension in Illustrator to populate map data. Based on the drawn map region and selected scale, an artboard of corresponding size is created:
Predictably I am trying to import to Rhino with the intent of drawing at a 1:1 scale.
I don’t know what import settings will get me there. I am trying to get into the ballpark of +/- 10’ based on measurements from Google Earth.
I created an AI file using Centimeters including a graphic scale that I verified to be correct using a feature I measured on Google and measured in CM on the drawing.
Is there a way I can use the graphic scale upon importing the map to Rhino to make the model 1:1?
Bringing the map in at 1cm = 1 rhino unit and scaling by 9050 does not produce the correct result.
