How to use Extrude Linear component

Hi,

I am trying to use [Extrude Linear] component.
I want to create extrusions using Profile Curves outside the origin, but it works differently than I imagine.
It does not seem to work well when the base point of the Shape Profile is placed outside the origin.

I know that I can use [Orient] or [Sweep], but it would be useful if this one component could complete the job.
How should I use it correctly?

Yeah, It is not the expected behavior, it seems that Po only track orientation of the plane (directionality) not the position of the profile curve in relation to the reference plane. hopefully some Gh Experts will chime in to discuss the logic behind it.

@wim I would expect the same result for Brep1 and Brep2 in the attached file.
However, Brep1 has unexpected results for me.
Maybe I am not using ExtrudeLinear correctly. If so, I would like to know how to use ExtrudeLinear correctly.

I’m confused too, it’s not quite what I want.
I expect the same result as “Orient + Extrude Along”
