How to turn off Isopram control points? Rhino 8: Pocketknife

Hi Team,

Re. latest KH video (Pocketknife) which I always enjoy!!; I have a control point question?

Apologies if my terminolgy isn’t quite accurate.

As per the tutorial:

Drawn a curve (outline of the Pocketknife handle) with symetrical points and then extruded.

Split isocurve to give two curves. Use Blend Surface. Turn on Control Points.

!STOP THE PRESS! How can I isolate the multiple isopram control points and just have the initial surface control points visible, as per Kyles model? Therefore editing that surface makes it alot simpler.

Many thanks,

Jerry

hey Jerry, you found a bug that was discovered in the process of publishing this video-

a fix has been made for 8.24 that should fix this.

in order to copy mine exactly, make sure your upper and lower surfaces have odd numbers of cv’s 7, 9,11,13 etc.. and that they match top and bottom.

even numbers for some reason make the more complex surfaces.

Good Morning Kyle,

Brilliant and thanks for the file.

NB. Credit on your Eames chair odyssey last year; admired your commitment!

Have a great Weekend.
