How to stop automatic disable feature of selection filter?

I understand McNeel team wants to make it convenient in case people forget to change selection filters. It’s maddening for me, however, Rhino makes its own decision to ignore the user selection.

Rhino thankfully has many ways to make macros, so I use it to change selection filters all the time. How convenient until Rhino decides to ignore the user selection its own volition.

I really hope that I’m just missing something to turn the automatic feature off. If not, could an option be added to turn it off, please?

Perhaps you can help us make this better.
You are often intentionally failing to select a specific object 4 times in a row?
