I’ve noticed my Rhino files keep saving backups through time machine crazily often (Mac, Rhino8), and I think its eating up a huge amount of my system data storage (100gb+)
I’ve tried the File > Revert To which should give me the option to delete past files but I don’t have a delete anywhere?
I don’t have Time Machine set up anyway on my Mac so it sends me in a loop when I try to access it, it asks me to add backup disk which I don’t want / need to do
I’ve since turned on TestToggleMacAutosaveVersions to disable autosaves, and also gone into advanced settings and turned off autosaves - not sure if this will work (I’m confident about saving iterations and rather manage my own backups manually)

That is completely handled by macOS. As far as I know, older versions are automatically deleted as time goes on. Since you have turned off macOS versioning for Rhino, I would assume that all older version will, at some point, be gone. For more information, you’d have to search or ask on a macOS forum.

I’ve had the same issue recently and I found an app called The Revisionist which is able to delete past versions of all kinds of files, including Rhino.
Another tip I found is to only save your files when you close them - and never while working on them - because auto backups are frequent enough that even if your program crashes, you’re not gonna lose anything. Saving a file manually (Cmd + S) creates a duplicate of the file with all past versions. I work 10 hours in Rhino on a daily basis and my storage was filling up rapidly in my brand new Macbook. And I’m talking 200GB in under 2 weeks.
These files are accumulating in the Revisions-V100 folder on your Mac where you can delete them manually as well, though you should be very cautious doing so because it can break certain program’s behaviour.
