How to delete a duplicate toolbar custom made button V7?

Hi,
whilst adding a button to V5 that I made for V7 I have managed instead to add it to V7, again !

How can I delete that button ?..leaving the original intact ?

Steve

Select the extra button as if you want to Move it within the toolbar, and drag it out of the toolbar instead.
It will be deleted.

Hi,
wow easy,
searched internet found nothing,
thanks.

Steve

It’s been a long time, since I looked for it, but there used to be good basic information on editing toolbars, moving icons within toolbars, etc. I’m unable to put my hand on it. I thought it was in the Help file.

Found it in the Help file:
https://docs.mcneel.com/rhino/7/help/en-us/index.htm#user_interface/using_toolbars.htm%3FTocPath%3DThe%2520Rhino%2520interface|_____3

Scroll down to the last section “Manage toolbar buttons” on that page:

Manage toolbar buttons

Move a button

  1. Move the cursor over the toolbar button.
  2. Press and hold Shift.
  3. Click the left mouse button and drag the toolbar button to a different toolbar or to a different position in the same toolbar.

Copy a button

  1. Move the cursor over the toolbar button.
  2. Press and hold Ctrl.
  3. Click left mouse button and drag the button to another location in the same toolbar or to a different toolbar.

Delete a button

  1. Move the cursor over the toolbar button.
  2. Press and hold Shift.
  3. Click the left mouse button, drag the toolbar button outside the toolbars and drop.

Create a link

  1. Open the parent toolbar that will contain the link button.
  2. Open the child toolbar that will be linked to it.
  3. Press and hold Ctrl.
  4. With the right mouse button down, drag a button from the child toolbar to the parent toolbar.
A copy of the button appears in the parent toolbar with the white triangle link symbol in its corner.

Unlink a toolbar

  1. Move the cursor over the linked button.
  2. Press and hold Shift.
  3. Click the right mouse button to open the Edit Toolbar Button dialog box.
  4. Under Linked toolbar, click No Link.

Just look into the help files or - even easier - with tooltips active (they show you what is going to happen) try dragging the icons with the usual key combos.
It is fairly self explanatory this way.

Don’t know why you would be searching 5 million terabytes of stuff for an answer when the Rhino Help is right under F1.
