Hello everyone, I am currently working on my graduation project, so I won’t say much:)
The current problem is that when I add an edge effect to a certain material, it will look like the one shown in the following picture. I don’t think there should be a diagonal line on one surfaceThis problem has been bothering me. Is there any solution?
what is that? Not a Rhino rendering, I take it … What you are seeing there, presumably, are the edges of the triangles in the render mesh.
-Pascal
Well, I forgot to mention it. I used vray for rhino, but although this issue hasn’t been resolved, I still got a nice looking rendering. Doesn’t it look cool?
It is perfectly OK, as Pascal said, you see the edges of the triangles that comprise the mesh.
If you need to see the effect on the object (brep/mesh) edges, you shall use Contours (toon material) instead
Actually, I want to simulate the burning marks generated during laser cutting of wooden boards during the process of making manual models. This option is completely fine in sketchup, but in Rhino it produces triangular mesh edges. Perhaps it is due to the differences between the two software.
there is no difference. it is the very same V-Ray. If it works in SU and not in RH, it is either a bug, or something you miss.
