How to close mesh opening and make it solid for printing?

Hi all,
I downloaded a mesh of a wood carving that I want to use to embellish a ring that I want to 3D print. The problem is that it is an open mesh and therefore I can’t boolean it with the ring. How do I close it? I have tried different things, but I’m not used to modifying meshes so advice would be great

Thought Shrinkwrap might be able to deal with that but doesn’t seem so.

Yes! Thank you so much!

DupBorder > PlanarSrf > Mesh > ShrinkWrap.
