I remember it had a choice for me the choose rhino 7 or 8 when launching Revit. Now the option is gone, how can I get the option back?
There isn’t an option to ignore.
Please provide your Rhino versions as well as your Rhino.Inside.Revit version.
Is this box checked? You may have to initialize RiR first to get the dialog if not.
Hi I am using Revit 2024 and Rhin.Inside.Revit version:
Hi @newshunhk,
in case it helps. I just installed Rhino.Inside.Revit 1.18 and I got the option to choose the Rhino version. For context: before I had the same Rhino.Inside.Revit version as you 1.16 and I had both Rhino 7 and Rhino 8, but I was not getting the option to choose, only when I installed version 1.18. If I remember correctly what I read, it is because Rhino 8 can only work with Rhino.Inside.Revit 1.18 or newer, but I am sure @Japhy knows more.
thanks! since Rhino.Inside.Revit 1.18 crush with one of my existing plugin, so I switch back to 1.16
There is something that I have done to avoid this, because I have the same problem with some plugins too (Speckle and ClimateStudio). I have three different version of Revit (22, 23 and 24). In Revit 22, I have activated Rhino 8, while in Revit 23 and 24 I decided to keep Rhino 7. I know it is not ideal, but I can use the solution as a placeholder for now.
how can you choose which rhino to launch?
@newshunhk, please forget what I said . If you have both versions of Rhino (7 and 8), you will always get the option to choose which Rhino version you want to use every time you start Revit.
