How to apply pipe to each line within a group of lines?

Hi
V5
I have a series of lines 0.2inch long with 0.05inch gaps between, stitches in effect.
I wish to now apply pipe command . If I select one of the lines and run the pipe command I get the pipe I want representing one stitch, if I select all of them and run pipe command I get a mess.
It needs an option, ‘apply to each element within selection’.
What method should I use to do them all in one go with each line segment receiving the pipe command giving me a 3D sticthed line ?

selecting one segment at a time and running pipe command will take ages.

Cheers

can you give a little more detail about what you are trying to do? if it’s just for a rendering you can use curve piping in the display properties on a curve with a dashed line type applied.

if you need to print, you can do the same, but extract rendermesh and export that to your printer.

can also do a small GH def- set the curve component to “multiple curves”

Hi,
v5

I am creating a stitched X pattern on a parachute harness, select each line and apply pipe and after a lot of selection and hitting enter I get it done, but to select the lot and run the pipe command I get a mess.

Just wanted to select them all and run pipe but have it do each segement one at a time.

Grasshopper is uncharted territory to me, not sure I will ever get even 5 mins to explore it, now have 5 months to catch up on after rebuild win7 top win10 , reinstall 130 progs and sort out rhino, all new templates, and now must redo all the dims in v5 as 1:1. then sort out V7 and some flaws there.
lost 2 days with PDF24 not working with V5 under win10, and so it goes on.

You will simply need to do this in V7. V7 pipe allows multiple curves.

make one set then flow it along the surface for each copy you need.

Hi,

ok, so after I sort out the dims issues, V7 here I come, as was the plan.

Must finish this project in V5 as all the work to prep it for opening in V7 denies then the meeting deadline on it, with 5 months lost already.

How does one find all the dims with property overide in use ? they also need to be 1:1 or does altering the scale to 1:1 for the dim style used by the property overide also solve the issues in the overides ?

Hi,
flow along surface…it needs to follow the existing lines, what are the steps to take a pipe command pecked line and flow along a surface making sure it follows the pecked line route ?

Cheers

Steve

And yet another selection script…
