How does Make2D work?

This has to be a silly question, I’m sorry, but how does Make2D work in GH? I’ve used it very little, but what seems pretty straight-forward is giving wrong or no results.

I have these curves, I pick the view, hit compute…it worked once, all the other times only a few lines are computed? I disable and re-enable the Make2D component, grab a new one, hit compute, same thing.

Some times I close the file, re-open it, run Make2D again, and I get more lines, then less, but never all? Why?

Not sure if I answered my questions but after setting, naming, and saving a view in Rhino then it worked. Default perspective view only worked a couple of times.
