Hidden geometry not showing up when told to

working in R8 but on different machines, when i open a file which had items hidden (using the hide objects tool) they do not show up when i use the show objects tool, when deleting the affected layer it is recognized that there are objects on it, and when importing into keyshot everything is there…the two machines have drastically different gpu’s (the affected machine is on a 2080ti where the source machine has a 4090)…any advice appreciated

It’s very hard to tell what’s going on from this description. Can you post or upload a file that we can take a look at?

for fun, i saved it down to rhino 7 and it opened just fine in R7…the same file has geo not visible in R8

I can see you’ve turned off the “buds” layer in model views. If you turn it on you should see everything.

Hi @luke_slomba,

Either scroll the panel to the right - to reveal the Model On column. Or click the Columns button and turn on the Model On column.

Note, columns can be moved for convenience - just drag…
