Hi,
I am having issues correctly modelling the geometry of a lampshade in rhino. The lampshade has already been produced using wood/card. The concept of the lamp is that it is made up of 4 ‘petals’ that can each be laser cut flat, folded, and then assembled. (please see images attached).
I have had a go at modelling the lampshade using a mixture of commands. Mainly, project to surface, rotate, interpcrv on surface & patch tools (In the 3dm file I have left my workings for reference). However I cannot seem to get it right. I would really appreciate if someone could explain to me a better workflow that allows for a more accurate model. The one I have created involves alot of guess work.
Thanks in advance for any help given, Fin
