Help with alternating grid structure

Hi,

I’m trying to create the structure on the left in grasshopper but struggling with several things. Wondering if someone could help me out

1. How can I alternate the volumes in each column I created as shown on the left structure in white?
2. I divided each column into three parts but I’m not managing to make this aspect parametric in way that it always fits within the outer beam.
