Get Started
- Download and install Rhino 9 BETA. You can run it alongside Rhino 8.
- Run the
OptionsMigratecommand to bring your settings, toolbars, and plugins across from a previous version. - See what’s new and follow the change log.
- Tell us what you find: regressions from Rhino 8, workflow problems, or anything about a new feature that isn’t ready for release. Your reports help decide when Rhino 9 ships.
What to expect
- CAUTION: These are weekly BETA builds. Often they are not stable or production-ready.
- Do NOT uninstall your Rhino 8.
- It’s feature-complete. We’re not adding features or making big UI changes now; we’re fixing bugs, documenting, localizing, and helping third-party developers update their plugins.
- New file format: Save As Rhino 8 often. Rhino BETA writes a new format, so save back to Rhino 8 when you need to open files in your current production version.
- Your plugins should migrate automatically from Rhino 6, 7, and 8. Let us and the third-party developers know if any don’t.
- Existing Grasshopper definitions should work. Let us know if they don’t.
