PLS HELP ASAP FINALS!!! Can someone please tell me how I can get rid of these lines on the top left white rectangle? It’s a 4pts to surface command – extruding a rectangle doesn’t work because there’s a small issue with my model where one of the lines is not quite straight vertical. I need it to be a plain white with no linework when I print to make it look clean!
I am not sure this is solving the right problem.
Should you model be vertical? Why is there this uneven nature in the surfaces?
It would be better to correct that as a problem, rather than induce a false sense of correctness though an aesthetic change.
yes, it’s supposed to be vertical. while normally id address the root of the issue I just need a clean image for a subsection of the “how it was made” part of my portfolio – the project itself has been done for a while. But since the entire portfolio is just one of my five finals to complete in the next few days, I’m just looking for the aesthetic alteration!
thank you Jeremy! but I can’t find this rhino options menu – is it still a part of the most recent version of Rhino? I tried searching for it in the help tab and by inputting it into the command bar too to no avail. I checked in the pulldown menu for the view tab as well (your step 2) but there’s no dropdown menu for the shaded tab or the others. :(((
You can find it from the main menu bar thus:
Or, to get straight to the Display Modes, you can use the dropdown from the Viewport title:
Whichever way you get there you should see the option categories listed on the left and items related to your selected category in the grey area on the right. Select ‘Shaded’ and you’ll get the items for it on the right. Unclick ‘Show Isocurves’. If you don’t see ‘Shaded’ you may need to drop it down from ‘Display Modes’ and/or ‘Display Modes’ from ‘View’. An arrow head pointing right indicates there are sub-categories available to drop down. Click on the arrow head to do so.
Note too that there are separate vertical scrollbars for the white and grey areas. You may also have to scroll down/up to find what you need.
