Helix with variable helix angle/pitch

How do I draw a helix with variable helix angle/pitch? I want to define different helix angles on the ends of the helix and I want the helix angle to change gradually along the helix. This drawing is an illustration rather than fabrication drawing, so the helix does not have to be perfect.

My best idea is drawing ordinary helix and stretching it with the CageEdit command.
