Here are a few designs that I have made with the help of Rhino7, Grasshopper, and the Parakeet Plugin. These designs were inspired by patterns found when exploring Parakeet. The rendering was done with Rhino7 and then actual hardwood prototypes are being made with the assistance of a ShopBot Desktop CNC router and traditional woodworking tools. We live in Southern Indiana which is a hardwood mecca. We lease a warehouse and are able to collect truckloads of hardwood off-cuts perfect for such designs. There are thousands of traditional designs like these and many more to be created in the future. The goal is to create efficient systems so that us “normal folks” can have and hold such designs.
