Gumball behaviour R8

Hello community,

when I move an object with the gumball, by clicking an arrow the object shoots towards the arrow. In R7 it was moved really smooth.Please see attached video with a comparison to R7.
First is R7, second is R8.
Is it possible to change that? I really, really dislike it.

Click on the white widget of the gumball (the bunny tail)

Then select Smooth Dragging
