Gumball Alignment on Rhino 8 - bad behaviour

Hi guys, there is a video on my YouTube that shows the problem i found. The video is not listed, so it can be accessed from the link:

In R7 if you make alignment on Object or World, the origin of the gumball remains the same (center of object)!

In R8 if you use alignment on Object it is ok, but if you use World, if is completely out of selected object… even disapears from the scene and you have to search it with Zoom Out/Extents
I believe this is an error and not a configuration… is it possible to check if i send you both version files attached?

Many thanks,
Vasco

I forgot to say that i am using Rhinoceros:

r7 version:
Logged in as Frezamolde - licensing@frezamolde.eu
Version 7 SR36
(7.36.23346.16351, 2023-12-12)

r8 version is the last one available…

Version 8 SR5

Commercial

To help solving this problem, that I believe, is experienced by hundreds of users everyday, I found that the gumball is badly placed after an extrusion of a curve…
Please look at my video:

text on the video so you can follow easily:
when making an extrusion with a curve… the gumball of the original curve moves to the end of the extrusion…

the gumball of the created surface remains at the center of the surface (as expected)

the next time you select the original curve… the gumball is placed at the end of the previous extrusion… if you copy the surface created and undo to the step before the extrusion and then
paste the surface… then the gumball is correctly positioned at the center of the curve… and you get the surface you needed… The surface has the gumball on the right position as well…

but that’s a tool i use thounsands a day!!!
