Grasshoppper ~ Extrude to plane

THIS ought to be simple. I created the Brep extrusion (coloured purple) in Rhino, but I’m trying to achieve a similar result in Grasshopper, using Extrude-to-Plane (ex-Sasquatch).

It fails but I cannot see why it should fail.

Any ideas? Please?!

That’s an extraordinarily complicated way to create a plane! And I’m genuinely surprised that there is no GH method for projecting a curve to a plane with an arbitrary vector instead of the plane’s Z?

So this got more complicated than I expected.

Of course, thank you :exclamation: The standard ProjectA (Project Along) component.

I don’t think I’ve ever used it so didn’t even see it. This is how simple I expected it to be. Geometry is internalized, no need for Rhino file.

P.S. @clivecarter the construction plane in your Rhino file appears to be angled? Annoying,

PLANE complication ~ in order to focus on the (apparently non-functional-) Component, the Gh file I uploaded is a cut-down version of a bigger Definition. The plane(s) represent basic sides of entities in a project where I want to be able to adjust them later on. It seems that this Component does not live up to its straightforward title …

THIS all works; thank you much for looking at this Joseph—and Quan Li.

I remain perplexed as to why the Sasquatch Component, having such a hopeful, straightforward title, did not work. But I can now move on …
