Can’t the problem be fixed without updating?
The internet connection is slow and I need to fix it as soon as possible

I have a feeling it’s the same as this problem:
Part 1:

Part 2:

But I don’t understand what he has done to solve it

Hello Johnathan,
it seems you use a cracked/pirated/illegal version of Rhinoceros.

I don’t want to judge, but asking help to the robbed company seems a little bold and odd.

I didn’t know to be honest.
I asked someone to download and install it for me so maybe it’s cracked unfortunately. Sorry for any inconvenience.

If you paid someone to install this version you have three options:
1- Ask him to refund your money.
2- Ask him to give you technical support for your issue.
3- Sue him.

Agreed, I have to ask him to refund my money.
But the problem is that the deadline for my project is tomorrow.
And I am having an exam using grasshopper after tomorrow.

How much did you pay?

So I need to fix it today :smiling_face_with_tear: to be able to continue my project before the deadline.
So can anyone please help me ?

Yes you can:
Rhino - Buy - Rhinoceros (rhino3d.com)

You can get a student license for a price of a used PS4.

I think you are right, I will get this license as soon as I get my money back from him.

I paid him 100 dollars

Is there a quick solution I can do to speed it up for now until I get the license ? :frowning:

too bad, If you paid Mcneel $200 you could get a student license that is permanent and you can use it for commercial work after graduation.

also who knows? he might also installed spyware on your machine, so ask him nicely for a refund. you don’t want to make problem with these guys, and uninstall the cracked software and scan your PC for malicious software just if you care.

If you haven’t done this before, you can request a 90 day trial by just going to here:

Rhino - Download - Rhino 7 for Windows Evaluation (rhino3d.com)

I hope there is no spyware installed, but I will do that.
Thanks!
Meanwhile, what can I do to save the day ? :frowning:

Problems could also come from some plugins you use in Grasshopper. You could try to find which component leads to a crash.
If you can post the script ?

There are a few things you can do now Johnathan.

Update the video driver.
Update Rhino (preferably not cracked)
Remove 3rd party plugins (enscape)
Verify your Video card is correctly configured.

Post the script giving you issues.
