@DavidRutten - you won’t believe this but I - a complete noobe - have actually fixed the problem myself.
Since the error read “file or directory is corrupted” I uninstalled Rhino and deleted all/any folders+files related to rhino/grasshopper from the directories listed in Valid Folders (ie: just any I could find on my PC). As I was deleting them one-by-one finally I came upon that was not possible to delete since it was corrupted. Therein, the problem.
I got rid of it by moving it to the desktop, deleting the folders it was contained in, then restarting the comp. Then I was able to delete it and empty the bin.
I then reinstalled Rhino - et voila. Presto!
Hope this helps any other confused souls like me out there.
The error message is quite clear on this matter. Its just the cause which might be unclear. You are using multiple older .gha’s within a newer version of Grasshopper. If Field or CurveComponents are referring to the Grasshopper internal library components, then it indicates that you are mixing two Grasshopper versions. Are you running Rh8 and Rh7 next to each other? If these come from the plugin mentioned, then the plugin might simply be developed against a newer GH, requiring you to update Rhino itself (if doable).
For some reason, after years, McNeel decided to improve on Grasshopper1. So its likely you’ll see these problems more frequently soon… Double check where those .gha’s are located and ensure to only store the correct ones. Could be a bug or a simple incompatibility.
Thanks, I’m running Rhino8 (latest update) so you are suggesting I might an older version of GH installed that causes the problem? For some reason, this problem only popped up when I installed PlanFinder…
