Hi Mohamed,
Try starting Grasshopper via the Rhino command line with GrasshopperLoadOneByOne and say no to 3rd party gh plugins.
What is your About info?
Nope i have tried ,repair, and reinstalling rhino , reset settings but none worked
What is your Rhino SystemInfo?
Did you try starting Grasshopper from the command line with GrasshopperLoadOneByOne and say no to 3rd party gh plugins.
Hello, I have exactly the same problem.
I tried:
1)Repairing rhino 8
2)Deinstalling Rhino 8, restart PC, reinstall Rhino 8
3)Starting Grasshopper from the command line with GrasshopperLoadOneByOne
and they all have no result.
On Friday 25th March it was good. On Sunday 27th of March the problem started.
All the commands are there in Grasshopper because double-clicking on the canvas and typing a command will give you a list to choose from and the will pop up and can be used. It is only that all the icons in the groups will not show up, only the “Param” group.
When I use Rhino 7 , grasshopper starts normal.
Please run the SystemInfo command in Rhino 8 and post the results. Thanks
Okay Japhy

Any particular reason you are using .Netframework?
Video driver updates are available. GeForce Driver Results | NVIDIA
We’ll want to test without 3rd party plugins. Either by opening Rhino in Safe Mode or disabling via Properties>Plugins, then restarting Rhino.
Hello Japhy
I did all the things you suggested but the problem persists.
- Disabled .Net Framework
- Installed updated nvidia drivers
- disabled 3rd party plugins
- restarted laptop after each change
What else can I do?
And thanx for your help
Marc
Can you post the updated SystemInfo? Thanks
Here it is.
Strangely it says that .Net Framework is still active, although I disabled it
Could it be that the settings in Grasshopper preferences got something to do with it?
Rhino System Information.txt (2.9 KB)
That is not a windows feature you want to turn off.
Run the SetDotNetRuntime command to switch (restart Rhino req’d)
Okay
I ran the SetDotNetRuntime command to switch, activated the .Net framework again & restarted Rhino. Problem in Grasshopper persists
ideally the system info should look be on 8.0.14, is that the case?

Hello Japhy
I did this:
"To set the .NET Core version once:
- Create a new shortcut for Rhino in Windows
- Edit the shortcut
- Add command line argument /netcore-8"
And now grasshopper works fine
thank you for your help!
Marc
