Grasshopper "loading errors" causing "windows errors" in lady bug

Hi there!

I am trying to use grasshopper to run a sun study in lady bug but keep getting a “windows error”. Every time I open grasshopper a series of loading errors pop up. I believe it may be something to do with some of the other plugins downloaded on grasshopper. I am wondering what I can do to see what the issue is. Please help if you can!

This looks to be a conflict of some sort, I know they have made some changes to ladyBug dependencies lately to help mitigate conflicts. Are you on the latest?

You can try a isolate a conflict by removing other 3rd party GH plugin and adding them back in one by one. A quick way to isolate is to Open grasshopper with the GrasshopperLoadOneByOne command in a new instance of Rhino.

Okay sounds good. Yep I tried to download both the new version and the previous one and kept getting the same issues. It must be something to do with the other plugins. How do I properly remove other GH plugins?

Isolating via LoadGrasshopperOneByOne is a good place to start, if you don’t have too many 3rd party plugins.

Any GH plugins installed via the PackageManager should be uninstalled from the PackageManager.

Other can be removed by moving the .gha out of the Libraries folder C:\Users\YOURUSERNAME\AppData\Roaming\Grasshopper\Libraries

I just tried to isolate using the command but got the same loading errors popping up. I cant seem to find AppData on my computer.

Please run SystemInfo in the Rhino command line and post the results. Thanks!

Here are the results
Systeminfo.txt (4.0 KB)

hmm, older mac. Ladybug has a dedicated forum, lets see what they say.

Any luck?

To clarify, you’ll want to take a look at previous posts on the ladybug forum, if nothing is related you’ll want to make a post asking for help. Please keep us posted on your findings. Thanks!
