It seems like it would be easy to create stuff like curtains, drapes, pillows, cushions, etc… with Grasshopper. I’ve already dug through the history. Also searched Food4Rhino (saw lots of cool stuff). Kangaroo looks capable but nobody goes very far with it.
Note that I’m not looking for a demo of a table cloth that takes 1 hour to create and is only half way to something that would be acceptable in an arch-viz setting. More just curious on people’s thoughts or if I missed something on Food4Rhino (lots of good stuff does get buried).
I’ve been watching videos of this. It looks very capable but everyone seems to start from zero/scratch. The beauty with Grasshopper is that people can build the framework so other’s don’t have to. If we can have something as versatile as “Grasshopper Gold” for Jewelry for example I’m surprised that nobody has created something for textiles.
Your app looks awesome! In this case I’m more aiming to create the table cloth. The root cause of me posting this is because I had been doing some Archviz/Rendering and struggling with a lack of 3D models just for random stuff - Like we’re talking light switches, rugs, door knobs, and of course things like curtains, table clothes, pillows on a sofa… An app like yours might be helpful because it can take hours just to gather all the little loose ends.
I was actually watching many videos about doing this stuff in Blender. I also have a laptop that can probably handle Blender now. Reading past discussions many recommended that Blender might be the right tool for the job. It’s always better to do as much as you possible can with a single program hence why I’m drawings people’s opinions.
