Grain direction not rendering

I finally learned how to change the grain direction with the UV editor for some furniture I am designing.
The grain now shows up how want it to in my workspace with the render view on.
However, when I run an actual Brazil render the grain reverts back to the original direction in the render.

what can I do to resolve this?
