Hello - enable SoftTransform, set an appropriate falloff radius, select the vertices (sub object select) to smooth 100% and run the Smooth command - the smoothing will fall off from the selected vertices across the falloff radius.
I recorded what’s happening. But yea, the command autocomplete for me, but doesn’t seem to work… I cant click at the geometries. I dunno if I’m doing right to be honest.
Hi Loenardo - SoftTransform enables/disables a state for transforms and sets options for falloff - it does no more than that by itself. To see the effect, select some mesh vertices and transform them - Move, or in your case Smooth, etc.
@kotto_97 something else that might help - turn on control points for the mesh - select a few and run the smooth with falloff - then use SelConnected once or twice to expand the selection, and smooth again, etc etc.
neat trick @pascal i essentially did not know anything about it. did it slip in recently? i can not recall stumbling ever over this option.
also there is a bug with smooth mac (7.10.21231.05192, 2021-08-19) when i activate the command i can not change the view in the viewport it stays locked. i believe that worked before?
