GLTF texture issues

Hi all
I have been having some issues importing GLTF files that I am scanning using the very awesome ‘3d scanner app’. When i look at the textured models on my phone, the textures look very clean. However when I bring the file to rhino I get a lot of wierd mapping issues at vertexes that makes the model look very speckled.

You can see the difference of OBJ vs GLTF below:

Also I should point out that the same GLTF file looks fine in windows 3d viewer:

This is a closeup of the GLTF in rhino. It looks like certain mesh faces are mapping incorrectly:

Can you please share the file?

Maybe related, I have *.usdz texture issues :crying_cat_face:

Here is the zipped GLTF

Thanks,

I’m not seeing this in the latest Rhino 8 build. Can you run the SystemInfo command and paste the results here?

I know this was at one time a problem that’s since been fixed.

I observed this in 8.4, 8.5 and now 8.6

Yes, I can see this in 8.6 but not the 8.7 build. Updating to the 8.7 service release candidate should fix this for you.

Help > Check for updates… change update frequency to Service Release Candidate and press Check Now… This will open web page with link to download the Rhino installer for the update.

Thanks
It appears that SRC8.7 fixes the issue
