Glitchy view capture

I’m having an issue where some viewcapturetofile images are messed up. This is using rendered view in v7 for Mac on a 16" MacBook Pro with 5500m GPU.

Hi -

Some?
Is there any pattern to that behavior? A sample file?
A tiling bug was fixed recently, I believe. Can you post your SystemInfo?
-wim

I’ve found that it occurs when ‘advance GPU lighting’ is turned on. And only then when the view captures are large and you do several in a row. Suspect it must be something with the GPU, perhaps running out of VRAM or some kind of driver bug?

Another issue I’ve found is that cut lines from clipping planes are captured as transparent if the background is set to transparent in the view capture settings. This is not what is desired. The cut lines are not the background so they should not be transparent.

Edit

If you’d like a file where this issue was occurring, I’m happy to submit it via a file transfer.

Here is the system info:

Also weird artefacts in the background that interferes with the transparency. The black object doesn’t exist in the model at all. It isn’t even in an invisible layer or something like that. See here:

Here is the same extract of the view, this time directly from a screen grab of the viewport.

And here, an extract of the view capture after having quit and restarted rhino v7.

Another issue you can see above is the one I mentioned in the middle of a post earlier in this thread:
