Hello everyone (@piac )
I’m trying to use ghpythonlib on Rhino6 but it fails badly (see pics below).
I’ve seen there was a topic on Serengeti, any updates?
Cheers

Hi
I’m running into this issue as well.
@stevebaer might you be able to shed some light on this?
Thanks
-Willem
Hi @piac or @stevebaer
I’m bumping this issue because it is stalling my workflow. I’d like to know if this is to be considered a bug with a solution in the short term or if I need to invest in workarounds because it won’t be fixed soon.
Thanks
-Willem
Hi Willem,
This is the first we’ve heard of this bug. We’ll try to repeat it here first and then go from there.
@Alain, you mentioned that you are looking at this. Have you been able to repeat the bug?
Yes, I’m close to the source of the problem. I will comment soon.
I logged a bug
Hi Alain,
I still have an issue and because I think it’s related continue here.
If I open a new instance of Rhino and import ghpythonlib.components
in a script I get this message:
However, if I open Rhino and open Grasshopper before running the script that imports, all is good.
Can you confirm that in order for the import to work GH needs to get ‘initialised’ first?
Thanks
-Willem
Hi Willem,
I see the problem in sr 6.14 but not in the latest build. The issue logged above was fixed in the branch that will become rs6.15. So you should not have to load Grasshopper first.
Alain
Just an update, guys. Sorry we are not being fast at releasing the fix for V6. The fix for V7 is already out, because the WIP release cycle is faster.
The fix for V6 is scheduled to go out with SR15. See RH-51188.
Thanks,
Giulio
