GhPython script editor broken in latest service release candidate

Updated to the latest Service Release Candidate this morning.

Rhino 7 SR5 2021-3-30 (Rhino 7, 7.5.21089.05002)

Now every time I try to open the editor for a GhPython component, I get this pop-up:

I emailed giulio@mcneel.com as directed in the popup - wanted to report it here as well.

Is there a way to roll back to the previous release candidate?

Thanks for reporting this @kev.r. I’ve logged the issue.

I don’t know of a way to “roll back” a service release. Can you just remove or rename the app and install Rhino 7.4?

That would be a disservice release.

(I’ll walk mysel out…)

Thanks for reporting this, and thanks @dale for the report. I’ve immediately informed the devs that have been working on this lately.

Fun fact, the C# and VB components are also dead!

Thanks for the report. This is not surprising as they all use the same underlying code editing control on Mac

Indeed, although they don’t sport the nice message about sending a screenshot to @piac. They simply don’t open an editor.

Yeah, GhPython has a few extra lines checking for problems and I put my email address there to be an easy target for support. Better to be fast IMO.
