Hello,
This is happening in a new file in Rhino8, with this definition:
Weird behaviour.gh (4.5 KB)
In the image posted, I tried replacing the are component but I got the same result.
I tried with the evaluate surface component and I got the same thing:
If I open this in Rh7, it works normally.
Am I missing something plainly obvious?

Hi Adrian -
Not that I can see, no. I’ve put this on the list of a developer to take a closer look → RH-82220 Grasshopper: Extrude is offset from base curve
For now, you can explode the curve before extruding it, and then, if necessary, join the resulting extrusions.

If the curve is replaced with a rectangle, it also works normally in Rhino 8
