I am working on a building that is using inches, I have to calculate areas for rooms, the result of the area command are in square inch , but I need square feet , right now I use copy paste and a google transformation but this is pretty cumbersome. Is there a way to tell Rhino to use sq.ft. instead of sq.in. ?

I had to use both metric and imperial dimensions on a previous project and at least for length dimensions it is possible to display an alternate unit below or next to the file unit.
For area dimensions this unfortunately doesn’t seem to work.
