G2 - File Open Error / Corrupting All Other Files?

Hi All,

I was working in G2 just fine and I closed out the program and reopened it and now I can’t seem to open the GH file I was building in.

Here is the error message I am getting:

I’m not sure what to make of it and can’t find an answer online.

Any help is greatly appreciated! At this point I’m figuring my work is lost but I am hoping that’s not the case.

File Open Error

I was using the read from excel node for GH1 (From TT Toolbox) to read a locally stored excel file and get some data. It appeared to be working fine in the graph but not sure if this could be causing the issue?

Is that something that you can reproduce in a new file?

So far I have not been able to reproduce. I’m rewriting the script to see if I trigger the issue again.

Hi @wim,

I managed to reproduce the error again with new files from scratch. I have attached the GH2 files of the last saved version that I can open successfully (suffixed _03a.ghz) and the newer version of the script that I cannot. (suffixed _03d.ghz)

I believe after version 03a I must have done something that corrupted the file and as I continued to save new versions up to 03d I was carrying that corruption with me into each new file save as.

I have now added in all the previous logic I had and although I’ve managed to crash and freeze it I have not corrupted the file and can still open it just fine.

Thank you for your help! I know this is in Alpha but I want to make sure I am not doing something that is consistently breaking the program if I can avoid it! :grin:

After the G2 command is entered, no canvas is displayed, and the operation cannot be performed
