Hi!
I have created my own font to use in drawings. Attached are two screenshots of
–the properties panel, where kerning works as it should.
–the model space, where it doesn’t. The same happens in layout space.
The font is an .otf file and works as it should in other applications. Font book says no problems were found with the font. What causes this? Help would be much appreciated.

Absolutely! However, it says .otf is not a valid file format for submission.

Kerning is not recognized/supported in Rhino 8. The Rhino 9 WIP has added support for kerning as an option to annotation styles.

Thank you for the prompt reply. To be clear, is an annotation style what is being applied to the contents of the Text command and would the kerning then override that as an option? I’m not very familiar with the terminology. /O
Text and dimensions have annotation styles associated with them that can be adjusted in document settings and optionally overridden on the object properties panel. The following image is from the Rhino 9 WIP and notice that there is a kerning option.
