I use _FlowAlongSrf
as an _Orient3Pt
with history added to the 3Pt
part. I use little planes like mating points/mobile cplanes. I do this a lot…
different bracelet links that need equal spacing, matching rivet points, and a specific length
I almost drove myself crazy trying to figure out why one link’s rivet point didn’t match the others. It never occurred to me that it could be a random UDT transform.
This file shows the issue:
FlowSrfBug.3dm (82.8 KB)
Flow objects on layer ObjsToOrient
from the red Base
plane to the two Targets
with the following options.
_FlowAlongSrf Copy=Yes Rigid=Yes RigidGroups=No ConstrainNormal=No AutoAdjust=No PreserveStructure=No
You can update the ObjsToOrient
and the history replay on the offending UDT transform is neither relative nor proportional.
