I am struggling to array my objects on the surface or the rail curves. Finally I found “flowAlongSrf” but it doesn’t work properly. The problem is when I flow my objects on the surface it makes some gaps between them. My aim is to make a “V” shapes that have sometimes wider sometimes narrower angles from my objects but they don’t follow the same axis when arrayed. How can I fix it? Thanks
The thing in your file is, that the width of your surfaces is not consistent, and the direction of the surface is not consistently perpendicular to the flowline. With Sweep2 you can achieve this and then rebuild the result.
The attached file show something close to what I think you want.
What I did:
Draw a R150 pipe around the center curve
pull the curves to that pipe
Sweep surfaces between the resulting curves and center curve (use Add slash to keep the sweep line more or less perpendicular to the flow line
Dear @Gijs Thank you for your answer that gets to the root of the problem. I understood the reason and then applied your steps several times. My final result is better than before but still, my surfaces are not as perfect as your file. I think the problem comes from “add slash” because it is not as good as you did I think. Is it possible to add it automatically or do you have a workflow?
