Fillet Edge Help Please

Hi Everyone,

I am new to rhino and have been having a little bit of trouble trying to fillet an edge. I am trying to get a smooth surface and take the edge of the point here however when fillet this is what happens.

Any suggestions on where I could go from here would be much appreciated.

You can solve this manually by making a plane at the elevation of the fillet edges and using that to trim the cone:

Then use a BlendSrf with continuity set to tangency:

Hi Simon - in addition to Wim’s comments, on a simple shape like this, if the end cone is really on an arc, you might make that as a revolve, and include the arc at the top, and the straight bit as an extrusion.

Hey Wim and Pascal,

Thank you for taking the time to have a look and help me out here. I have tried both ways and have both successfully worked. I’m sure it could be done another 4 other ways hehe but both these methods are very simple and make sense to me.
