File recovery (missing file)... long shot?!

Hey guys -
I’ve been working on a blueprint for several weeks. I finished up, exported the file as a vector PDF (luckily!) and needed to make some edits to the 3dm file but it’s gone. The last thing I did after closing the program (Rhino 8 on a mac) was to install the most recent recommended update. This file has autosaved endless times over the past few weeks with no issues until the program reloaded and the working file had vanished.

I’ve searched my entire computer, trash etc. and the original 3dm file is nowhere to be found. It doesn’t even populate in the welcome screen.

Fortunately, I was able to import the above mentioned PDF into a new file but all of the dimensions need to be redone and all of the annotations are in the wrong font / aren’t editable.

Is there some type of back door within Rhino or on the tech support side to retrieve a previous working file?

Worst-case, is there a quick way to replace all annotations / text with editable text? Hopefully this makes sense. To further clarify, upon importing the PDF, the artwork has essentially been preserved (apart from a few hatches) but the fonts are all broken into separate ‘pieces’ aren’t editable, and all of my arrowheads are gone.

Thanks in advance.
