[Feedback] SubD Osnap

For the first time exploring SubD, I’m finding that Center Osnap is not functional when I use the Move command (among others). I realize that with the Gumball activated that is not an issue, but it just seemed curious. Is there any particular reason for that (lack of) functionality?

Thanks for the feedback. What are you trying to get the center of? Is it a face on a SubD for instance or the SubD itself?

Center Osnaps currently work on circles, ellipses, rectangles, flat polygon curves and planar untrimmed surfaces. I’m not sure if they could pick up a center on a face or an objects volume centroid.

It was just an isolated rectangular SubD surface viewed in the flat mode, and it was just a little counterintuitive that the Center Osnap didn’t work, since that is what would be expected for a NURBS surface.

(On an unrelated matter, or at least not directly related, would you consider putting a Back/Forward/History arrow feature, comparable to a web browser, in the Help panel? It would help compensate for this geezer’s senior memory lapses. ; - )

Thanks, I filed https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-59192 for the Center Osnap issue.

I also filed https://mcneel.myjetbrains.com/youtrack/issue/RH-59193 for the Help panel enhancement. I found on Windows Rhino 7 WIP, the backspace key does back up to the sections viewed but the Help panel has to be clicked in first for focus and I don’t see a way to move forward.
